As Christa Janse Van Rensburg, Chakalaka’s Chef, explains, the basic ingredientes in South African cooking are a lot of butter and sugar, and, obviously, a lot of meat. Generally speaking, the main rule and secret of this extraordinary cuisine is just a huge amount of love to the cooking. There are not special meanings associated with the dishes from the Rainbow Nation, even though the will to stay all together and eating well could be the best terms to describe the South African cuisine in the most appropriate way.
